Privacy Policy for M4M4 Merge Numbers Puzzle

Effective date: August 21, 2026
Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the iOS game M4M4 Merge Numbers Puzzle (the “App”). It also explains your privacy choices and rights.

1. Controller and contact

The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with the App is:

Max Anton Schneider
c/o MDC Management #1582
Welserstraße 3
87463 Dietmannsried
Germany

Email: info@maxantonschneider.com

2. Summary

  • The App does not require an account, login, name, email address, or user profile.
  • Core game data is stored locally on your device.
  • The App uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads.
  • The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage privacy choices where required.
  • The App may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission before an advertising identifier is used for tracking.
  • The App uses RevenueCat to manage the one-time Remove Ads in-app purchase and restore purchase status.
  • The App uses Apple Game Center for the optional high-score leaderboard.
  • The App does not include a separate product analytics service and does not operate its own analytics or user-account backend.
  • The App does not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.

3. Data processed by the App

3.1 Data stored locally on your device

The App stores the following information locally so that the game works and your progress can be restored:

  • current game board and active run;
  • score, best score, highest tile, longest chain, and best combo;
  • game progress and target value;
  • sound, haptics, and onboarding preferences;
  • whether the once-per-run reshuffle has been used;
  • ad pacing information, such as completed runs, runs since the last interstitial, and the time of the last interstitial;
  • a cached indication of whether Remove Ads is active.

This local information is not sent to us. It normally remains on your device until the App data is deleted or the App is uninstalled. Device backups and restoration are controlled by Apple and your device settings.

Purposes: providing gameplay, restoring progress and preferences, preventing excessive interstitial frequency, and remembering the locally cached purchase entitlement.

Legal bases for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: performance of the app-use agreement under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, user-friendly game under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.2 Advertising, consent management, and tracking permission

Unless Remove Ads is active, the App uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC, to show:

  • a banner during active gameplay;
  • occasional interstitial ads after completed runs; and
  • an optional rewarded ad that may grant one reshuffle lifeline per run.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK and participating advertising providers may process information such as:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address;
  • device information, operating system, app version, language, and general technical data;
  • device identifiers, including the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) if Apple permits access and you have authorized tracking;
  • app- or developer-scoped identifiers;
  • ads shown and your interactions with ads, including impressions, taps, and video views;
  • app interaction information relevant to advertising, such as app launches;
  • advertising and conversion data;
  • crash logs, diagnostic information, app launch time, performance information, and similar SDK diagnostics; and
  • consent choices and signals.

The exact providers and purposes can depend on the AdMob configuration, your country, your consent choices, and whether personalized, non-personalized, limited, or technical ad delivery is available.

The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage consent or opt-out choices where required. Consent information, such as an IAB Transparency and Consent Framework string or other privacy signal, may be stored locally and transmitted to Google and the advertising providers identified in the consent interface.

On iOS, the App may display Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you deny tracking permission, the App cannot access the IDFA for tracking. Denying ATT does not necessarily stop all advertising or all processing required for non-personalized, limited, fraud-prevention, security, measurement, or technical ad delivery.

Google and participating advertising providers may use the data to deliver and personalize ads where permitted, measure ad performance, limit repeated ads, prevent invalid traffic and fraud, maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve their advertising services.

Legal bases for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: where consent is required, processing for personalized advertising, tracking, and access to or storage of information on your device is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and applicable ePrivacy law, including Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You may withdraw consent at any time. Certain strictly necessary, security, fraud-prevention, limited-ad, or technical delivery operations may be based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or another lawful basis available to the relevant provider, where permitted by law.

3.3 Remove Ads purchase and RevenueCat

The App offers a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card or bank-account details.

The App uses RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider to retrieve the product offering, process and validate purchase status, unlock the ad-free entitlement, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process:

  • a randomly generated anonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
  • device type, operating system, app version, and similar technical information;
  • IP address and information derived from network requests;
  • product and entitlement information;
  • purchase status and transaction information;
  • the Apple receipt and related App Store transaction data; and
  • the time the App was last seen by the RevenueCat service.

The App does not send your name, email address, or a custom account ID to RevenueCat. Because the App has no user accounts, RevenueCat creates an anonymous App User ID when its SDK is initialized. Reinstalling the App may create a new anonymous ID, while Apple’s purchase records may still allow a valid purchase to be restored.

RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf to provide purchase management and entitlement services. Apple separately processes the purchase under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Purposes: offering the product, completing and validating the purchase, preventing fraud, maintaining the ad-free entitlement, customer support, and restoring purchases.

Legal bases for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, compliance with applicable legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, and legitimate interests in preventing fraud and maintaining accurate purchase records under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.4 Apple Game Center

The App supports an optional global high-score leaderboard through Apple Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the App checks whether Game Center authentication is available and may submit your score and the App’s leaderboard identifier to Apple. The App can also open Apple’s Game Center leaderboard interface.

Apple may associate your score and game activity with your Apple Account and Game Center profile. Your Game Center nickname, avatar, and scores may be visible to other Game Center users according to your Apple settings. We do not receive your Apple Account password or payment details.

Purpose: providing the optional high-score leaderboard.

Legal basis for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: performance of the optional Game Center feature under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Apple processes Game Center data separately under its own privacy terms.

More information:

  • Game Center and Privacy
  • Apple Privacy Policy

3.5 Communications with us

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, message, attachments, and any transaction or device information you voluntarily include.

Purposes: responding to your request, providing support, handling privacy requests, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

Legal bases for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication concerns a contract or purchase, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where we must comply with a legal obligation, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for support, record keeping, and the establishment or defense of legal claims.

4. Recipients and service providers

Depending on the feature you use and your choices, personal data may be received by:

  • Google LLC and the advertising technology providers identified in Google’s consent or privacy interface;
  • RevenueCat, Inc. and its subprocessors;
  • Apple Inc. and relevant Apple affiliates for the App Store, in-app purchases, ATT, SKAdNetwork, and Game Center;
  • hosting, communications, legal, accounting, or technical service providers where required to operate the App or respond to requests; and
  • authorities, courts, or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights, prevent fraud, or ensure security.

We do not operate a data-broker business and do not sell personal data for money. As explained below, advertising-related disclosures may nevertheless be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under some U.S. state privacy laws.

5. International data transfers

We are based in Germany, while Google, RevenueCat, Apple, and some of their service providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws.

Where Chapter V GDPR or equivalent transfer rules apply, transfers are protected through an applicable adequacy decision, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified and the framework applies, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or other legally recognized safeguards. You may contact us for more information about safeguards applicable to processing for which we are the controller.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • local game data remains on your device until it is deleted, reset, or removed with the App, subject to Apple device backups;
  • consent choices are retained according to the UMP configuration, applicable consent validity periods, and your later changes;
  • advertising data is retained by Google and participating providers according to their policies and legal obligations;
  • RevenueCat purchase and entitlement information is retained while needed to provide and restore the purchase, maintain accurate records, prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements;
  • Apple retains App Store, transaction, and Game Center data according to Apple’s policies; and
  • support correspondence is retained until the request is resolved and thereafter only as long as reasonably required for legal obligations or potential legal claims.

Data may be retained longer where required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Aggregated or properly anonymized data may be retained where it no longer identifies you.

7. Your choices and controls

Advertising and consent choices

  • Where required and available, open the App’s pause/settings screen and select Privacy Choices to review or change the choices presented by Google’s UMP interface.
  • You can change iOS tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • You can manage certain Apple advertising and personalization settings in iOS Settings.
  • You may purchase Remove Ads to stop the App from requesting banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Purchase does not retroactively delete data already processed by advertising providers.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

Local game data

You can remove locally stored App data by deleting the App from your device. Apple-controlled backups may be managed through your Apple and iCloud settings.

Game Center

You can manage Game Center sign-in, profile visibility, and related choices in iOS Settings and your Apple Account settings.

Purchases

You can use Restore Purchases in the App’s pause/settings screen. App Store purchases and purchase history are also managed through your Apple Account.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal data concerning you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where the right to data portability applies;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

To exercise a right, email info@maxantonschneider.com with the subject Privacy Request. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request and locate relevant records.

Because the App does not use accounts and RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier, we may not be able to identify a particular record from your name or email address alone. For a purchase-related request, your Apple transaction identifier or purchase receipt may be needed. Please do not send full payment-card or bank-account details.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for us:

Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach
Germany
www.lda.bayern.de

You may alternatively contact the supervisory authority in your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of an alleged infringement.

9. U.S. state privacy notices

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of AdMob and participating advertising providers for personalized advertising may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under certain state laws. Where applicable, use the Privacy Choices option presented in the App to opt out or email us with the subject U.S. Privacy Request. Denying Apple’s ATT permission also prevents access to the IDFA for tracking.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. We do not knowingly sell or share for targeted advertising the personal information of users we know to be under the age threshold established by applicable law.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable local law. The App is not offered in Apple’s Kids Category. We do not knowingly request or collect a child’s name, email address, or account profile.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal data in connection with the App, contact us at info@maxantonschneider.com. We will review the request and take appropriate action under applicable law.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. Communications with Google, RevenueCat, and Apple use encrypted network connections where supported. Local App data is protected by the security controls of your device and operating system.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Third-party links and services

Ads or Apple interfaces may link to third-party websites, apps, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of independent third parties.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The current version will be made available at the Privacy Policy URL listed on the App Store product page. We will update the date at the top and provide any additional notice required by law.
