This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the iOS game Just Merge Numbers (the “App”).
The App is a paid download. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The optional Game Center leaderboard is provided by Apple.
The App's separate Terms of Use govern your use of the App.

2. Summary
- The App does not require an account with us.
- Core game data and settings are stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate an analytics or user-account backend for the App.
- The App contains no advertising and does not request permission to track you.
- The App contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
- The optional leaderboard uses Apple Game Center. Apple processes Game Center data under its own terms and privacy information.
- We receive personal data only if you voluntarily contact us, for example by email.
3. Information handled by the App
3.1 Information stored locally
To provide the game and remember your progress, the App may store the following information locally on your device:
- current and saved game state;
- score, high score, statistics, goals, and progression;
- sound, haptic, and other preferences;
- tutorial or onboarding status; and
- a score waiting to be submitted to Game Center if Game Center was temporarily unavailable.
This information is not transmitted to us. It remains on your device unless it is submitted to Apple Game Center as described below. You can remove locally stored information by deleting the App. Information may remain in an Apple device backup according to your device and iCloud backup settings.
Under Apple's App Store privacy definitions, information processed only on the device and not sent to the developer is not considered data collected by the developer.
3.2 Apple Game Center
The App supports an optional Game Center leaderboard. If Game Center is available and you are signed in, the App may:
- ask Apple whether the local Game Center player is authenticated;
- submit your game score and leaderboard identifier to Apple; and
- display Apple's Game Center leaderboard interface.
Apple may process your Game Center account information, nickname, avatar, score, gaming activity, device information, and related data. Depending on your Game Center privacy settings, some information may be visible to other Game Center users.
Game Center is an Apple service. We do not operate Game Center, receive your Apple Account credentials, or maintain our own copy of your Game Center profile. Apple's processing is governed by its own terms and privacy information:
You can manage Game Center and its privacy settings through the Settings app on your Apple device. You may use the core game without using the leaderboard, although Apple may display its own Game Center sign-in interface depending on your device settings.
3.3 App Store purchase and download
The App is purchased and downloaded through Apple's App Store. Apple processes information needed to operate the App Store transaction, which may include your Apple Account, transaction, payment, device, storefront, tax, fraud-prevention, and download information.
We do not receive your complete payment-card or bank-account details. Apple may provide us with sales, proceeds, tax, and performance reports relating to the App. These reports do not provide us with your Apple Account password or complete payment details.

3.4 Contacting support
If you contact us by email, we process the information you choose to provide, such as:
- your email address and name, if included;
- the content of your message;
- technical details, screenshots, or attachments you choose to send; and
- our correspondence with you.
Please do not send sensitive information that is not necessary for your support request. Support communication takes place outside the App and is not automatically collected from your device.
We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems, protect our legal interests, and improve the App based on the feedback you provide.
4. Information we do not collect through the App
The App does not use advertising, in-app purchase, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. In particular, we do not collect through the App:
- your name, email address, telephone number, or physical address;
- advertising identifiers such as the IDFA;
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts, photos, videos, camera, or microphone data;
- health, fitness, financial, or sensitive information;
- browsing or search history; or
- advertising, cross-app tracking, or profiling data.
The App does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or display third-party advertising.
5. Purposes and legal bases
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases for information that we process directly:
- Contract and pre-contractual steps: to provide support relating to the App and respond to requests concerning your use of it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Legitimate interests: to diagnose problems, maintain security, improve the App, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal obligations: where processing is required by tax, accounting, consumer, regulatory, or other applicable law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Consent: where we specifically ask for consent for an optional use of information (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent with future effect.
Apple determines its own legal bases for the App Store and Game Center services it operates.
6. Recipients
We may disclose personal data that you send to us only when necessary to:
- providers that host or secure our email and technical infrastructure;
- professional advisers, such as legal or tax advisers, where required;
- public authorities or courts where disclosure is legally required; or
- protect our rights, users, or others against fraud, abuse, or security threats.
These recipients may process information only for the relevant service or legal purpose. Apple separately receives and processes information when you use the App Store or Game Center.
7. International transfers
We are based in Germany. Apple and service providers involved in email or technical support may process information in countries outside Germany or the European Economic Area. Where we are responsible for such a transfer, we use a lawful transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses.
Apple's international processing is governed by Apple's own privacy documentation and applicable safeguards.
8. Retention
- Local game data remains on your device until you delete the App, clear its data, or restore the device in a way that removes it.
- Game Center and App Store information is retained by Apple according to Apple's policies and legal obligations.
- Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain appropriate records, and address legal claims. We generally delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed, unless law requires longer retention.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent with future effect; and
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
To exercise rights relating to information we control, contact info@maxantonschneider.com. We may need information to verify your request. Because the App has no account or developer-operated backend, we cannot identify or retrieve local game data from your device.
Requests concerning Apple Account, App Store, or Game Center data must generally be directed to Apple because Apple controls those services. Apple's privacy tools are available at privacy.apple.com.
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of an alleged infringement. In Germany, you can find supervisory authorities through the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
10. Children
The App does not request a name, contact details, date of birth, or account from players. It is not designed to collect personal data from children through the App. Game Center access and features may be restricted by Apple based on the player's account, age, family settings, and applicable law.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support message without appropriate authorization, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect information under our control. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure. Local game data is protected by the security features of your Apple device and operating system.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, applicable law, or our information practices change. The revised version will show a new “Last updated” date and will be published at the same public URL. If a change materially affects how the App handles personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
