This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the macOS application iInvoice, provided by:

1. Privacy at a Glance
iInvoice is designed to process your accounting and App Store financial data locally on your Mac.
Files imported into iInvoice, information extracted from those files, business details entered by you, reconciliation results, generated invoices, internal settlement records, and exported PDF documents are processed locally on your device.
They are not uploaded to us or transmitted to our servers.
We do not operate a backend server for iInvoice and do not receive or have access to the financial reports, business information, bookkeeping data, or documents you process within the application.
2. Local Processing of Financial Reports
iInvoice allows you to import financial reports and payment information obtained from Apple, including files such as:
- App Store Connect detailed financial reports;
- payment and payout overview files;
- app and product information contained in those reports;
- country and territory information;
- units and transaction amounts;
- currency information;
- tax-related information contained in the imported reports;
- Apple legal entity information; and
- other information included by Apple in the relevant reporting files.
These files are processed directly on your Mac.
Processing may include:
- reading and analysing imported files;
- identifying fiscal periods;
- identifying Apple legal entities;
- matching financial-report amounts with payment information;
- calculating and reconciling totals;
- allocating proceeds between entities;
- preparing invoice information;
- preparing reverse-charge documentation where applicable;
- preparing internal settlement records;
- generating monthly-close documents;
- storing a local history of completed periods; and
- generating PDF exports.
iInvoice does not automatically upload or transmit this information to us or to an iInvoice-operated server.
3. Business and Accounting Information
You may enter business information into iInvoice for use in generated documents.
Depending on how you use the application, this may include information such as:
- your name or business name;
- business address;
- tax information;
- VAT identification information;
- invoice information;
- contact information; and
- other information required for your bookkeeping documents.
This information is processed and stored locally on your Mac.
We do not receive this information through iInvoice.
4. Generated Documents
iInvoice may generate documents including:
- invoices;
- reverse-charge invoices;
- internal settlement records;
- reconciliation documents;
- document overviews;
- monthly-close reports; and
- PDF exports.
Generated documents remain on your Mac or at a location selected by you.
iInvoice does not automatically upload generated documents to us, Apple, your accountant, tax authorities, cloud-storage services, or other third parties.
If you choose to export, copy, share, email, upload, print, or otherwise transmit a generated document, that action is under your control.
5. Local History
iInvoice may maintain a searchable history of previously completed accounting periods.
This history is stored locally as part of the application data on your Mac.
We do not receive or have access to your local iInvoice history.
You are responsible for deleting local application data if you no longer wish to retain it.
6. No User Accounts
iInvoice does not require you to create an iInvoice user account.
We do not collect registration information, passwords, online user profiles, or cloud-stored accounting records through the application.
7. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
iInvoice does not contain:
- advertising;
- third-party advertising trackers;
- behavioural tracking;
- cross-app tracking;
- user profiling;
- custom analytics services; or
- marketing SDKs.
We do not use your imported financial reports, accounting information, business information, generated documents, or application history for advertising, profiling, marketing, or artificial-intelligence training.
8. Apple and the Mac App Store
iInvoice is distributed through Apple’s Mac App Store.
Apple may independently process information relating to your App Store account, purchase, download, device, payment, diagnostics, or use of the App Store.
This processing is carried out by Apple and is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and contractual terms.
We generally do not receive your payment-card or other payment information from Apple.
Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales, download, performance, or diagnostic information. Where such information does not identify an individual user, it is not personal data in relation to us.
Depending on your macOS and App Store privacy settings, Apple may also collect and process crash or diagnostic information independently.
You can manage the sharing of analytics and diagnostic information in your Apple device settings.
9. Data Contained in Apple Reports
Files obtained from App Store Connect may contain financial, transactional, geographic, app-related, tax-related, or other information supplied by Apple.
The exact contents of these reports are determined by Apple and may change over time.
iInvoice processes the information contained in the files you choose to import.
Where an imported report contains personal data, that data is processed locally by iInvoice on your device.
We do not receive that information.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to access and process the reports you import.
10. Contact by Email
When you contact us by email, we process the information contained in your message, including your email address, to respond to your request.
Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis for this processing is:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where the communication is necessary to perform a contract or take steps before entering into a contract; or
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in answering questions, providing support, and handling feedback.
We retain support correspondence only for as long as necessary to process the request and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Email communication may involve the processing of data by the email and hosting providers used to deliver and store messages.
Please do not send confidential financial reports, tax documents, App Store reports, or generated accounting documents by email unless this is necessary for your support request.
11. Legal and Administrative Obligations
We may process limited personal data where necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- respond to lawful requests from authorities;
- document business transactions; or
- process support requests.
The applicable legal bases may include Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
This does not mean that we receive the financial documents processed locally within iInvoice.
12. Data Retention
Because iInvoice does not transmit your imported reports, generated documents, or local accounting data to us, we do not determine the retention period for that information.
Imported information, application history, business details, preferences, and generated documents remain under your control on your Mac.
You can remove this information by deleting exported documents, removing application data where the application provides such functionality, or uninstalling the application.
Personal data received through support emails is deleted when it is no longer required for the relevant purpose, unless statutory retention requirements require longer storage.
13. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
We do not share the financial reports, bookkeeping information, business information, or documents processed locally within iInvoice because we do not receive them.
Personal data submitted directly to us through support communications may be processed by service providers that assist with email, hosting, or technical infrastructure.
Such providers may process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
14. International Data Transfers
iInvoice itself does not transmit your imported App Store financial reports, business information, reconciliation data, or generated documents internationally.
Apple and providers used for email or technical services may independently process data outside the European Economic Area.
Where required, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law.

15. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of your personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive personal data you provided in a portable format where applicable; and
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
Because we do not receive the financial reports, accounting information, business information, or documents processed locally within iInvoice, we cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete this locally stored information for you.

16. Security
iInvoice is designed to minimise privacy risks by processing your financial and bookkeeping information locally.
You remain responsible for protecting:
- access to your Mac;
- your App Store Connect reports;
- your business and tax information;
- locally stored iInvoice data;
- exported PDF documents;
- local backups; and
- copies of documents shared with third parties.
Financial and tax documents may contain confidential information.
We therefore recommend using appropriate device security, disk encryption, secure backups, access controls, and secure methods of transmitting documents to accountants or other recipients.
17. Backups and Cloud Services
Your macOS configuration or third-party software may automatically back up files or application data to external storage or cloud services.
For example, documents saved in a folder synchronised by a cloud-storage provider may be uploaded by that provider.
Such processing is not performed by iInvoice itself and is governed by the respective service provider’s privacy terms.
You are responsible for selecting appropriate storage and backup locations for sensitive financial information.
18. No Automated Tax or Legal Decision-Making
iInvoice performs calculations, categorisation, reconciliation, and document generation based on imported information and application logic.
These functions assist you in preparing bookkeeping records.
They do not constitute automated legal or tax decisions about you, and iInvoice does not submit tax declarations or make legally binding determinations on behalf of tax authorities or other organisations.
You remain responsible for reviewing generated results before relying on them.
19. Children
iInvoice is a professional bookkeeping utility and is not specifically directed at children.
The application does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through an account or online service operated by us.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the application, its technical operation, or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version will be made available through the application, the App Store listing, or an associated website.
